Description and condition:

Leather bound hardback with rounded corners, gilt edges, raised bands on spine and gilded tooled border around the inside boards. 6 1/2 by 9 3/4 inch (8vo), xiv + 861 pp., index, portrait frontispiece, illustrations of which some are in colour and others fold-out.

General wear to the leather and loss of about an 1/2 inch piece to the back inside board covering. The occasional moderate foxing. Overall a nice copy of this well executed volume. (if you need more pictures please let us know).
