Description and condition:

Red cloth hardback, TEG, 8vo, xiv, 228 pp, frontis, b/w illustrations.

Good or better reading copy, owners name and foxing to EPs, mostly good clean pages. Recently rebound with original boards and replacement EPs.

Contents:

With an appreciative introduction by the Marquess of Dufferin and Ava. Illustrated with about 60 reproductions of original drawings and rare prints in the possession of the author. The articles in the book, first appeared in The Beacon, a Somerset journal. This is the first publication in book form and was limited to 500 copies. A list of the subscribers follows the index. According to the name on the FFEP this is copy no. 198 purchased by Benjamin John of Bath.
