Brown cloth hardback with gilt lettering, gilt top page edge rest untrimmed, 7 by 9 3/4 inch (8vo), xxiv, 357 pp., 1 leaf publishers adverts, index, bibliography, colour frontispiece, 20 photogravure reproductions and 28 in half-tone.
Rubbing and edgewear to the boards. Former owners numerical notation - possibly private library number - on the half-title page, moderate foxing in parts. Overall a good or better copy.
